This site and its entire contents have been compiled and built by Norman Bernicky (AT-2 VP-40 1978-1981) from his personal collection, submitted content and from websites.  Source references are listed when available. This site is not endorsed or approved by the U.S. Navy. The contents are solely intended to preserve the history and memory of VP-40 and  Naval Air Station  Moffett Field, California.

This site was built using Microsoft FrontPage, web hosting is by Go Daddy. Currently web hosting is free with Go Daddy. Because its free, Go Daddy puts their ads at the top of every page. If and when I upgrade to a paid hosting account the ads will go away. It is my ultimate goal to do this but I need to find a way to generate some income from this site to cover the cost. I can put Google click through ads on every page but I don't like them.  So I will probably do the "donations" process thru PayPal. My goal is to break even not make a profit. Once the annual cost is covered I will post to this site that no further donations are needed. Another option is to build a store and sell VP-40 and Moffett Field related items. Your input and comments are appreciated!

Another upgrade to the site would be a blog and podcast. There are good and bad things about blogs, but its a great way for VP-40 vets to add to this site. Unfortunately anyone else can post their unwanted junk too. But as web/blog master I can easily delete content and block users from submitting content.

Currently this site is not getting very high search results on Google and Yahoo. This is because the site is new and not much content. Its important to send links to anyone you are still in contact with that was in VP-40. As the site grows results will improve.

A good way to submit content is to use Microsoft Word and save the document as an html web page then send to me as an attachment via email.

Now some info about myself. After leaving 40 I went to AIMD at Moffett for several years to finish my tour of duty in the Navy. I moved my family to Colorado Springs where we now live. My wife Toni and I started an electronic repair business (Norbern Electronics Inc.) and is still going strong after 23 years. We repair most makes and models of consumer audio video electronics but specialize is Bose repairs. We also started a sign making business that specializes in golf tournament signs. As a hobby I collect antique and vintage radios and related items. I enjoy building websites for my business and interests. See links below to my sites.
